The Rendition Project, which joined the University of Westminster in September 2015, has published the results of a 9 month investigation into the CIA torture programme.

Working alongside The Bureau of Investigative Journalism, The Rendition Project has pieced together the hidden history of the programme, and revealed how CIA secret detention and torture operated on a global scale between 2001 and 2008. Our report is the first comprehensive portrayal of the system’s inner dynamics from beginning to end, and draws on public data sources such as flight records, aviation contracts, court cases, prisoner testimonies, declassified government documents and media and NGO reporting. It also comes alongside the release of an interactive database, providing open access to our fully-searchable data and analysis.
