The facilities available at the Faculty of Media, Arts and Design are second to none. The Department of Photography has some of the best equipped darkrooms available to the public in London, run by full-time technicians employed by the University.
Photography and Film education at the University has a unique depth of tradition, with the world's first courses in photographic chemistry delivered at the then Polytechnic, where the Lumière Brothers screened the first ever film shown in the UK. The Department is highly accomplished, with many of our students and graduates regularly being selected to exhibit their work in various high profile venues and winning awards.
Following on from that long tradition, success and popular demand, we have launched a new programme of short courses starting in September.
