Dr Ipshita Basu gave oral evidence at the House of Commons International Development Committee's public enquiry into the Department for International Development's work in Bangladesh and the Rohingya Crisis.

The evidence given by Dr Basu and other experts has been published as a Special Report: Bangladesh, Burma and the Rohingya Crisis and is available on the Parliament website

The committee enquiry has concluded that Bangladesh government and NGOs like BRAC have responded to the Rohingya crisis but urgent action is needed to prevent the repatriation of refugees to Burma without due diligence and that the UK government needs to take urgent steps against the use of rape as a weapon of war.
