The Student Module Evaluation (SME) for Semester 1 ;is now open, giving you the chance to have your say and provide your lecturers with valuable feedback on the modules that you have taken this semester.

Evaluation access

All students registered on Semester 1 modules that receive accreditation have been sent an email invitation for access to the evaluation.

You can access your evaluations on the survey website or via your Blackboard dashboard.

Evaluation content

The following areas are covered:

  • Teaching and Academic Support
  • Resources and Learning Environment
  • Assessment
  • Coursework Feedback
  • Overall Satisfaction

The evaluation has 10 questions that should take approximately 3–5 minutes to complete, depending on whether you decide to add comments.

Evaluation security and storage

You can be assured that any feedback you provide in the survey is anonymous. We ask each student to log in to the University network to ensure access remains secure.

When you complete the evaluation and press the submit button, your ID is not retained in relation to your feedback. Your feedback is instead stored under the relevant module code and forwarded to your Module Leader and Dean of Faculty once the evaluation closes.

Your feedback is very important to us and will provide valuable insight into your experiences and expectations, which will help to shape future module development.

Prize draw

All participating students will be entered into the SME prize draw and have a chance of winning a £50 Amazon voucher. One student from each University department will be randomly selected as the prize winner once the evaluation has closed.
