Newly appointed Director of Westminster MBA Dr Kellie Vincent was invited to comment on specialist MBAs and the return on investment of studying an MBA for the City AM.

In 27 August's City AM news Kellie Vincent, MBA Director at the University of Westminster, said that specialist MBA holders may find it more difficult to move laterally across industries later in their career as she comments on Specialist MBA programmes. “MBA courses are so expensive. They should be providing graduates with returns throughout their careers, not just in the short term.”

The cost of an MBA can be a major expense nearing a total of £100,000. Dr Vincent stressed that “return on investment is a very traditional way of looking at MBAs. People’s decision-making process has changed quite a lot over the past five years, with more emphasis now on using an MBA to shift job, industry, or country [than pure salary growth].”
