Dr James Morgan, Principal Lecturer in Events, has been nominated in the Eventex Awards 2020 in the 100 Most Influential People in the Event Industry category.
The Eventex Awards were founded in 2009 and attract entries from 85 countries across the globe to judge the best events and events professionals for their creativity and quality of delivery. The awards are among the highest accolades in the industry, and represent the outstanding achievements, quality services and creativity in the sector.
The 100 Most Influential People in the Event Industry award honours those who have left a mark on the sector with their creativity, vision and capacity for innovation. 2020 marks the second year running that Dr James Morgan has been nominated for the award by his event industry colleagues. He has a well-rounded involvement in the industry through his work to disseminate research, judge awards and competitions and speaking at events around the world.
Talking about the nomination, he said: “Being honoured by the industry I am passionate about means a lot to me personally. This is also an honour for our students, since I am part of an international network of industry professionals, therefore I have been able to invite many of them as guest speakers in lectures both online and in live sessions.”
