The programme is part of the current University of Westminster and H-AB internationalisation drive and was organised by Dr Alexandra Angress, Departmental Co-ordinator within the Faculty of Business Administration and Law (FBAL), between 13-15 December 2017. The H-AB campus is based in Aschaffenburg, a small Bavarian city dominated by a beautiful Bavarian castle and located 30 minutes away from Frankfurt am Main via direct train connection. The exchange was funded by the Bavarian Guest Lecturer Programme.
Dr Gheorghe Multescu took part in a visit to the European Central Bank organised by Dr Angress on 13 December for her class of H-AB undergraduate Real Estate students in Frankfurt am Main. Dr Multescu’s programme of lectures to BSc and MSc Property students at H-AB on 14-15 December covered Central London Property markets and Financial Decision Making in an Uncertain Environment within the current Brexit context. He was also invited to take the lead in a State of the Art debate on Brexit and its implications for the City and the EU in an intensive seminar on negotiating in the EU chaired by Dr Angress, Dr Balleis and Marcel Rother, with the participation of regular and international exchange students at H-AB.
Further meetings with Dr Holger Paschedag (Real Estate Management and Finance) and Dr Christian Focke (Co-ordinator of the International Real Estate MSc programme at HAB) explored the possibility of further staff and student exchanges, a possible Study Abroad programme, joint field trips and workshops and possible areas of joint study degrees and future research. The visit benefitted from full support from Alexandra Krimm on behalf of the HAB International Office.
