The University of Westminster Students’ Union (UWSU) is sending 25 Course Representatives to the 'Course Reps Conference 2015’ on 21 February, hosted by the National Union of Students (NUS) at UCL's Institute of Education.

Course Reps are students who have been voted or nominated to act as representatives for their module and year, they work with the SU and academic staff to improve the University and put forward any issues, complaints or suggestions students may have. To ensure that Course Reps continue to provide that important vital link between the student body, the University and the Students’ Union, UWSU is sponsoring their attendance at the London Course Reps Conference 2015.

The conference will be a mixture of plenary sessions and workshops. The themes that will be covered are:

  • Future leaders
  • Learning and teaching
  • Communities and citizenship
  • Making change in your institution
  • Managing representative systems

The conference will provide Reps with the information and skills they need to create real, long lasting change for students and play a leading role in the SU and the University's future. It’s an excellent opportunity for Course Representatives from across London to meet each other and build networks around the issues that matter to them, while receiving expert support and development.
