This Difference Festival event will address the issue of the so-called 'migrant crisis' in the Mediterranean. It will look at the specific case of Lampedusa as a space that struggles to find a balance between on the one hand a space for leisure and tourism and on the other a destination for global passage. It will also challenge the way the representation of this phenomenon has been managed by the media and the political actors.

Côme Ledésert's 25-minute short film Persisting Dreams will also receive its UK premiere at the event.
