Keep on the Grass: Launch event

Date 30 June 2026
Time 6 - 8pm
Location Zone29
Cost Free

This launch event explores some of the issues highlighted by the Keep on the Grass installation.

“Keep On the Grass” is a playful and thought-provoking installation which explores how signs in public spaces encourage or discourage a sense of belonging. It was inspired by Parks for Health - Camden and Islington’s award-winning strategy to make parks and the wider public realm welcoming and health-promoting for as many people as possible.

At this launch event, you will hear from the exhibition curator, Catherine Max, as well as from an expert panel who will discuss the ways signs shape behaviours, attitudes and experiences.

You will have the opportunity to view the installation and to network before and after the discussion.

“Keep On the Grass” is on view and open to the public at the our new Zone 29 building from 29 June to 31 July 2026. The installation was originally staged at the Building Centre in London and toured to the Farrell Centre in Newcastle as part of their ‘What is an Ideal City?’ programme.

This launch event is part of the programme of events organised by the Destinations and Experiences Research Centre and forms part of the 2026 London Festival of Architecture.
