Families and Language Policies on the Move: Multilingualism in Greek Complementary Schools in the UK
Petros Karatsareas from University of Westminster's School of Humanities explores how Greek complementary schools in the UK are responding to growing linguistic and cultural diversity driven by migration and mixed-heritage families. Drawing on a nationwide study of more than 30 schools, the findings reveal extensive multilingualism and differing approaches to inclusion, challenging assumptions about homogeneity and prompting new ways of thinking about heritage, community, and language.
