Faiz Am'n Mela (Faiz Peace Festival) is the annual event Faiz Cultural Foundation - UK organises to promote equality, peace and progressive discourse through dialogue, art, literature and culture. 

This year we will be celebrating life and work of three iconic progressive poets of South Asia, Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Sheikh Ayaz and Kaifi Azmi.

Speakers

This year’s line-up includes Sardar Shah, Senator Hasil Bazinjo, Iftikhar Arif, Dr Aysha Siddiqa and Atif Tauqeer.

Kaifi Azmi Centennial Mushaira

Renowned poets from UK, Europe, USA, Canada and Pakistan will recite their poetry to pay tribute to Kaifi Azmi.

Play Performance

Students of the University of Westminster will perform spoken word poetry on the themes of race and gender.

Live in concert

Eminent Ghazal Singer Anup Jalota and Nirmala Maghani will be singing Faiz’s poetry.
