In this talk I will summarise the research evidence supporting the delivery of yoga in prisons and give examples of some of the different yoga initiatives that I have facilitated and evaluated which have been co-designed with men and women in English prisons. I will explore the importance of ethics, legitimacy and real world impact in our research in this area and outline opportunities for future research directions.
