Let the music, laughter, conversations and vibrant energy remind us of the remarkable journey that has brought us here. Together let’s make history by celebrating history.

What is Black History Year?

The Black History Year Create program is a six-month initiative dedicated to empowering Black university students at Level 6. It aims to strengthen their confidence, visibility and individuality as they prepare to transition from university into the workforce.

Taking a decolonised approach, the program tackles critical issues such as tokenism, microaggressions and systemic racism, equipping participants with the tools to navigate and challenge these barriers.

Launched in 2022–23, the program has become an annual fixture, continuing to support and uplift the next generation of Black graduates.
