A talk on India and the UK in the Global Economy with economist and Bloomberg Opinion Columnist Mihir Sharma.

The Centre for the Study of Democracy (CSD) at the University of Westminster is pleased to invite you to this talk on India and the UK in the Global Economy with economist and Bloomberg Opinion Columnist Mihir Sharma.
In an era of geopolitical headwinds, uncertain growth, and shifting global economic assumptions, both India and the UK face difficult economic policy choices. This talk by Mihir Sharma explores how shifting global conditions from trade fragmentation and technological change to fiscal pressures and political economy constraints are reshaping economic debates in both countries. Drawing on comparative insights, the discussion will examine how India and the UK are responding to these challenges, where their trajectories converge and diverge, and what this moment reveals about the future of growth, governance, and economic strategy for these two democracies.
The event is in partnership with “Link India”, a London-based policy initiative strengthening UK–India ties through research, events, and dialogue.
