All members of our University community are invited to mark Remembrance Day on Tuesday 11 November by joining our inclusive gathering and observing a silence, shutting down devices and turning attention inward for two minutes to contemplate the sacrifices made by others.
Colleagues and students of all faiths and none are invited to join us in:
- Doing a two minutes’ silence at 11am across campuses and digital platforms
- Joining our remembrance gathering after the silence where we will lay wreaths at our war memorials in the Foyer area of our Regent Street campus
All are welcome to join this gathering where we can come together as a community especially to remember those who have died in conflict.
The format will include a few brief contemplative readings and a short piece of music to represent our gratitude in diversity and the shared human longing for peace and greater tolerance.
