These challenging times have seen students hit hard by the drop-in employment opportunities and many have lost their part-time jobs causing financial hardship. The Santander Student Support bursary is there to provide additional support to students through these difficult times.

The scholarship is open to UK students studying full time at levels 5 or 6 and receiving the full maintenance support available from Student Finance England.

To receive this rate of loan, you must have a household income of £25,000 or less.

Students must have a term-time address within the M25 and priority will be given to those with the longest commute and highest travel costs to the University. Students will be expected to provide evidence of their student loan.

There will be 10 x £1000 (or 20 x £500) bursaries available depending on the number and quality of applications received. This will take the form of a cash payment made to the successful applicants in January 2021.

Successful applicants may be asked to provide a short testimonial on how the award will help them. Acceptance of the bursary constitutes permission for the University to release details of their progress to Santander.

Students who already have a Westminster scholarship are not eligible to apply.

The application deadline for the bursary has now been extended until Monday 23 November
