UWSU would like to invite you to take part in a survey focusing on eating disorders, and how they may have affected you or others you know.

The Understanding Disordered Eating in Our University survey, which is open to all students and not just those with experience of eating disorders, opened on Monday 28 February. It is being run by the University of Westminster Students’ Union (UWSU) as part of Eating Disorder Awareness Week

The survey looks to get a better understanding of how eating disorders may be affecting students’ studies and whether students have had to deal with any barriers to getting help.

The survey will help inform some of the discussions at the panel event hosted by the SU at the beginning of April. Westminster SU will collaborate with a range of other London-based SUs to hold ‘Eating Disorders in Higher Education: Panel Event’. Some of the topics to be explored include stereotypes, barriers to support and ways to make university wellbeing services more inclusive.

Eating Disorder Awareness Week also coincides with University Mental Health Day, which takes place on Thursday 3 March.

If you want to know more about the wellbeing support available, please visit our Student Wellbeing page or the online resources on Student Space.

University Mental Health Day

Eating Disorder Awareness Week also coincides with University Mental Health Day, which takes place on Thursday 3 March.  The goal of University Mental Health Day is to bring together the university community to make mental health a university-wide priority and create ongoing year-round change to the future of student mental health.
