Our University is a vibrant multilingual community. Tell us what you speak in our language survey!

In 2023, our language survey showed that more than 600 students, academic colleagues and professional service colleagues were identified as speaking almost 200 languages and language varieties.
We would like to continue our work and expand our knowledge of all languages spoken across our linguistically diverse University through our 2025 language survey.
Take part in our survey
Do you want your multilingual voice heard? Take part in our survey by Tuesday 23 December 2025.
You don’t need to be fluent for your language to count. We welcome all levels, and include dialects, accents, and language varieties too!
Why is it important?
All your languages are important – for you, for the University, for everyone. We know people are often more multilingual than they realise. Every level counts and is part of your plurilingual identity.
Having other languages is something to be proud of. Languages connect us to different cultures and ways of life, build flexible thinking and creativity, and are highly valued by employers.
At Westminster, all languages are welcome – spoken, written, signed, or local varieties, dialects and accents. They are all part of what makes our University unique.
