The maintenance work will start at 7am on Saturday 28 January through to 11:59pm on Sunday 29 January.
We aim to minimise disruption, however you will notice interruptions to some IT services over the weekend.
Access to web resources including SITS, SRSWeb, Timetabling and Service Desk will be unavailable for a period on Saturday.
Network upgrades will be taking place at 115 New Cavendish Street affecting, CG.10 – CG.49, C4.01 – C4.04 and the 5th Floor Library.
Access to all services will be disrupted on Sunday whilst essential network maintenance is completed.
You will still be able to access Blackboard, Office 365 and Google Mail.
Why we have planned maintenance weekends
Maintenance weekends are planned to enable us the time to carry out essential systems upgrades and also test our business continuity processes. We do this work during weekend periods to minimise disruption to teaching and business functions.
There are three scheduled weekend maintenance periods per year.
The dates are planned a year in advance and are published on the University website along with other key dates in the University Calendar (PDF).
