Important: Beware of scam job adverts

Please be aware of suspicious job adverts which have been posted on Engage by a company named ‘The Real Property Experts’, under the contact of Becky Silver [email protected], and a company named ‘United Kingdom Sotheby’s International Realty’, under the contact of Sophia Ovalle, [email protected].

Please do not engage with any of the above contacts or any other contacts with the email domain of @realtyagent.com as we believe this is a scam organisation.

To protect your own data and that of other people, it's vital that you learn how to spot phishing messages and other scams. Never provide your bank details when applying for jobs.

The National Cyber Security Centre has produced a one-page infographic that provides guidance on how to spot the most obvious signs of phishing. Please also check the University’s guidance about how to spot phishing and malware emails.

While job adverts come from external organisations, please rest assured that all adverts are always carefully reviewed by the University before being published via our Engage platform.

Remember to always remain vigilant and be careful when accepting calls from unknown numbers. Do not ever provide any personal information.
