The Ignite Fund offers students at Westminster a fantastic opportunity to upskill and gain the competitive edge when you embark on your chosen career after you graduate. If you have a project or opportunity that would help you develop personally and professionally, but financial pressures are holding you back – the fund is for you. 

All undergraduate and postgraduate students can apply for a non-repayable grant of between £150 - £1,500 to develop a project which is relevant to your studies or will help with your personal/professional development and employability.

Here are just a few examples of what you could apply for: 

  • Purchasing equipment and materials 
  • Costs associated with starting your own business 
  • Developing a project relevant to your studies such as making a documentary film, setting up a music studio, putting together a portfolio of your work, dissertation projects 
  • External courses related to your degree which will give you the edge once you graduate 
  • Research projects 
  • Attending conferences and workshops 
  • Internships and training opportunities
