Free vaccination clinic running at Harrow Campus this March

Westminster students aged 18-25 can take advantage of free DTP, HPV, MMR and MenACWY vaccines at Harrow Campus on Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 March. The clinic will run from 9:30am to 3:30pm in The Forum.

The University, in conjunction with Brent Council Public Health, is running a free vaccination clinic offering Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio (DTP), Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR), Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and Meningitis ACWY (MenACWY) vaccinations on Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 March at Harrow Campus. Please note that the MenB vaccine is not available at the vaccination clinic.

What is HPV?

HPV, or human papillomavirus, is a very common virus. It can cause genital warts and certain cancers, including cervical, mouth, penile and anal.

The HPV vaccine is a safe, effective way to protect yourself against these risks.

For more information about HPV, visit the NHS website.

What about the MMR and MenACWY vaccines?

The MMR vaccine protects against measles, mumps and rubella, which can cause serious complications.

The MenACWY vaccine prevents bacterial meningitis, a potentially life-threatening condition.

Although the vaccine is very effective, NHS advice is that  it does not prevent all types of meningitis, including meningitis B, and it's still important to be aware of the symptoms of meningitis even if you've been vaccinated.
