The University has reopened its Cost-of-Living Assistance Scheme to provide additional support to students experiencing financial difficulties due to the rising cost of living.

The scheme is open to fully enrolled UK and international undergraduate and postgraduate students, including those studying taught and research programmes.
If you are facing financial challenges due to rising living costs, limited income, changes in your financial circumstances or unexpected expenses, you may be eligible for additional support through this scheme.
The grant is intended to help students who are struggling to meet essential day-to-day living costs, including rent and accommodation, food, travel, household bills and other essential expenses. It aims to ease financial pressures and help you continue with your studies.
Eligible students experiencing financial difficulties may receive a one-off grant of £350, which does not need to be repaid. The grant can be used towards essential living expenses and accommodation costs, providing short-term financial assistance to help manage increased or unexpected costs.
We recognise that every student's financial circumstances are different. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, we encourage you to apply and explain your current circumstances and how the rising cost of living is affecting you.
Please ensure you submit all required supporting documents with your application so that your circumstances can be assessed and your eligibility determined.
It's super easy to apply, and all applications will be considered, regardless of the criteria.
Before applying, please read the guidance on how to apply for the scheme via our webpage. Incomplete applications or missing supporting evidence may delay your assessment or result in your application being rejected.
