Last year we started the process of introducing a new academic calendar to better support student success at Westminster. This article is to remind you of a small number of further calendar updates which will take effect in the upcoming 2026/27 academic year.

Calendar updates from the 2026/2027 academic year:
- Semester 1 results will be released in February so that re-assessment can take place in April/May. Previously, final Semester 1 results were released in June, with re-assessment taking place in July. This change will support greater re-assessment success by reducing the time gap from initial assessment. If you're a final-year undergraduate and have outstanding Semester 1 modules, it will also provide the opportunity for you to complete re-assessments earlier, ensuring you’re more likely to graduate with your course-mates.
- If you need to re-sit or complete deferred Semester 2 assessments, the time available to prepare will increase from three to four weeks.
It’s important to highlight that the April/May re-assessment point is the only time at which Semester 1 re-assessment will be possible during that academic year.
