A group of people celebrating Diwali

Diwali, often referred to as the Festival of Lights, is celebrated by many Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs. We are thrilled to present 'World in Westminster: Diwali Celebrations' to our community. Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of a diverse and vibrant atmosphere. Join us as we come together to celebrate with a blend of culture and conversation.

Many people celebrate Diwali by wearing bright colours, especially red. You’re welcome to wear something red to join in the festive spirit! Let’s celebrate diversity, build connections, learn about different cultures, and make the world feel a little cosier at the World in Westminster.

We can't wait to welcome you!

The World in Westminster series is part of the QHT EDI Project, “Westminster for All - Equity, Inclusion and Belonging,” sponsored by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Dibyesh Anand in collaboration with International Student Champions and the Student Union. The World in Westminster Festival series, after nine successful events in 2023–2024, is currently running for the second year. We have run brilliant and inclusive festival events for all, including: Diwali, Hanukkah, Yalda Night, Nowruz, Ramadan and Passover.
