Be the change you want to see! Join the Careers and Employability Service on Wednesday 7 October 2020, from 12:30-2:30pm, for our first ever Virtual Volunteering Fair!

This online event will give you the opportunity to meet and engage with a wide range of charities and community groups, offering a range of volunteering and work experience opportunities. Don’t miss out: this is your chance to make a difference and gain experience!

Why should I volunteer?

Volunteering is a great way to wholeheartedly join in student life at Westminster.
As the graduate market is becoming increasingly more competitive, coupled with the impacts of Covid-19, volunteering is a valuable opportunity to gain essential work experience and enhance your employability!

What are some of the other benefits?

This is your opportunity to gain first-hand experience of what it means to be socially, ethically and environmentally responsible. Volunteering can also help you to settle into student life and boost your confidence.

If you are currently taking a work placement module, the fair is also designed to help you find ideal placement or volunteering opportunities to complete your module requirements.

Will I have time?

We appreciate the need for flexibility when it comes to volunteering. We even have one-off projects and opportunities that you can engage in without leaving the comfort of your home. These may be especially useful if you have a busy schedule or if you are new to volunteering! In fact, volunteering provides you with the opportunity to enhance your skillset and employability, including your time management skills!

Am I eligible to volunteer?

Volunteering is flexible and is open to all, including international students, either on a long-term, short-term or one-off basis and even remotely online.

To find out more: what will the Fair involve?
