The sinking of the Titanic has been put down to bad luck: an accident caused by the unforeseen forces of nature, a situation outside the control of the captain and officers who were depicted as mere bystanders incapable of changing the course of events. Is this a true reflection of what happened?

This presentation puts forward a very different version of the disaster and shows how we can learn from history to solve complex business problems and avoid pitfalls in project management.

Speaker Mark Kozak-Holland is a consultant to Fortune-500 companies on projects that leverage emerging technologies. As an author and historian, Mark seeks out the wisdom of the past to help others avoid repeating mistakes and to capture time-proven techniques.
