About this Event

Everyday awareness is an active compassionate practice of committing to a more mindful life. It can enhance the quality of one’s relation between the inner world (thoughts, dreams, feelings and associations) and the outer world of external reality, which also includes the expanding virtual realm.

These sessions are aimed at students at this time of uncertainty and rapid change. There is a focus on all of the five steps to mental wellbeing as promoted by the NHS.

Participants are required to interact fully and begin exercises in their own time to benefit from the training. To register, please select tickets for all four dates. Commitment to the full programme is essential. Participants who stay on the course can receive a certificate of achievement and become eligible to apply for a further programme involving more advanced practice.

Yusuf Kaplan is an adviser at the University of Westminster, and leads this programme, developed in working with students and colleagues from decades of experience in practicing mindfulness and the many different kinds of meditation. He also provides supervision for coaches, consultants and senior management, having trained in the psychodynamics of individuals, groups and organisations.
