About the event

Everyone experiences feelings of anxiety and panic at certain times. It's a natural response to stressful or dangerous situations. 

However, as anyone who has experienced them will know, panic attacks can be very unpleasant and distressing. In this interactive workshop, learn why we have anxiety, how it stimulates the fight-or-flight response in us, and what the resultant physical symptoms – which we often misinterpret when having a panic attack – really mean.

You will also explore evidence-based techniques for overcoming panic attacks used in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
