Black History Year and The University of Westminster's Colleague Disability Network are pleased to invite you to join us for a thought-provoking online event.
How do everyday institutions shape what disability means, who is recognised and who belongs? This talk explores disability through an intersectional perspective, examining how race and gender influence how disabled people experience education, healthcare, employment and public services.
We are pleased to welcome Dr Abigal Muchecheti to speak on this important topic. Dr Muchecheti is an Honorary Fellow at the University of Leicester, an author, interdisciplinary researcher and public speaker whose work explores the intersections of disability, race, gender and social justice.
