Global Media MA- 2022
It took me a while to decide on the media course I wanted to go ahead with, but once I did, I knew I made the right choice. It is such an exciting subject.
Why did you choose the University of Westminster?
The University of Westminster has such a great reputation for being an excellent university, both in terms of academic excellence and being incredibly diverse. I was also attracted to studying at the amazing campuses across central London and being taught by such reputable academics.
How has your experience been studying in London?
London is an incredible city to live and study in. The opportunities are endless and you are surrounded by people from all over the world who are trying to get the full student experience.
What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?
My decision to study the MA in Global Media was not an easy one. It took me a while to decide on the media course I wanted to go ahead with but once I did, I knew I made the right choice. It is such an exciting subject and the course leaders helped me with any questions I had before starting, to make sure I was certain of my choice.
There are a diverse range of optional modules that you get to decide on during your studies. There are modules tailored to your professional interests, which makes learning and research so much more interesting and exciting. You are focusing on an area you would hopefully like to pursue further.
How have you found academic support as part of your studies?
The academic staff are very helpful and make sure they are always there to help with difficulties throughout the program.
What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?
I would recommend researching the course you are interested in and talking to students and course leaders to get a better idea of it. Also, once you start university, do not be afraid to get involved with university events to feel more involved and meet new people.
What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?
One of my favorite parts of being a student at the University of Westminster is the sense of community between students. Also, the support you receive from lecturers has helped me throughout my course and allowed me to succeed.
