Black History Year Create

If you’re a Black final-year undergraduate or postgraduate student, you can take part in a transformative programme to build your confidence and prepare for your future.

What's involved?

Designed by Black students for Black students, this intensive career-readiness programme aims to empower and inspire you as you step into the world of work. You’ll explore key topics like personal branding, effective storytelling and addressing tokenism.

Over six months, you’ll: 

  • join online and face-to-face workshops led by an experienced industry professional 
  • take part in insight days 
  • engage in online activities 
  • reflect through independent study 
  • receive dedicated support from the University
  • take part in optional one-to-one mentoring
