Second year Commercial Music Performance BMus Honours student Emmanuel Nwamadi, currently studying at the University of Westminster's Faculty of Media, Arts and Design, will feature in the blind auditions of Saturday’s BBC One programme The Voice UK, at 7pm.

The 23-year-old Nigerian from London will perform his own interpretation of Sade’s ‘Sweet Taboo’. He speaks highly of the support he’s received from Westminster faculty staff - Head of Music Department Alan Fisher and Course Leader Hussein Boon, among others.

Emmanuel practises his singing and guitar playing (he named his guitar ‘Rose’, hence his Twitter handle @EmmanuelandRose) every morning and, with just a hint of trepidation, is very much looking forward to taking part in the high-profile competition.

We wish him the best of luck and we will keep you updated with all his progress below.
