A group of Commercial Law LLM and LLB students toured the Lloyd's of London building in the City.

The students have been studying international sales and marine insurance law, so a visit to the prestigious market of insurers was an exciting opportunity for them to experience the home of international insurance.

The market is housed in the striking and renowned Lloyd's building, designed by architect Richard Rogers utilising mainly concrete, steel and glass.

The tour, funded by the School of Law, consisted of a presentation on the way the Lloyd's market has been operating since its creation in 1688 and its place in the modern insurance market, followed by a walk round whilst trade was buzzing and insurance deals were being negotiated.
