Ten law students from the University of Westminster’s Bar Society were among a group of undergraduates invited to Lincoln’s Inn on 25 February 2015.

Students seeking to pursue a career at the Bar must join one of the four Inns of Court, which are an association of barristers. The four Inns of Court are Lincoln’s Inn, Middle Temple, Inner Temple and Gray’s Inn. The Inns of Court are the only institutions that have the power to call students to the Bar upon completion of their Bar Professional Training Course and they also provide support for aspiring barristers through educational and social activities.

At the event students heard from barristers on a range of subjects, including training, career opportunities and life at the Bar. The students enjoyed speaking to a diverse range of members from different backgrounds and were given some valuable advice.

In March 2015 Bar Society members will be attending a dinner at Inner Temple and will also be given a tour of Gray’s Inn. More information about the University of Westminster Bar Society.
