Learning Support are currently looking for student volunteers to assist our Peer Assisted Learning and Mentoring activities for the academic year 2014-15.

There are three schemes for you to choose from

  • WIN Skills Learning Cafés: Volunteer student ‘facilitators’ meet regularly with small groups of first-year students to develop their study and learning skills. Students pass on their experience and knowledge of the course they have studied to new students starting that course. (We need volunteers from MAD and WBS)
  • WIN Disability Buddies: Volunteer students act as mentors to first-year disabled students who need one-to-one help and support, especially at the beginning of their university experience. (We need volunteers from all faculties)
  • WIN IT Skills: Volunteer students support IT training to provide introductory sessions on common desktop applications used in academic and work related contexts (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Word, Powerpoint, and Excel). (We need volunteers from MAD and WBS)

Visit our sign-up page and select the scheme you would like to volunteer for. We will then contact you with further details about taking part and the training involved.

You can also find out more and/or sign-up at our launch event held in the forum at Harrow campus on Thursday 1 May, 12-3pm.
