Fashion Scout is the largest UK’s independent and international showcase for fashion pioneers, nurturing emerging and established design talent, and showcasing it during London Fashion week.
Selected from hundreds of applicants Katie’s collection uses simplistic tools to create a myriad of interactions and emotions. She uses vinyl layered onto leather, laser cut geometric panels, and combination of digital and screen printed textiles.
When speaking about her success, she said: “After achieving my goals to create a vibrant, print heavy collection for my degree course, that I was immensely proud of, I am beyond grateful that I was considered for the Merit Award.
“By giving me the opportunity to yet again be ambitious within my own work, allowing me to create another collection and launch my own brand as well as simultaneously providing me with a wonderful platform to make my mark as an upcoming young designer, Fashion Scout has fulfilled one of my many aspirations.”

Katie is currently working on her next collection and solo show, featuring her label’s visual identity of strong print processes with a vivid modern look.

Katie Ann McGuigan will be showing her AW17 collection at Fashion Scout London on Saturday 18 February 2017 at 4.30pm during London Fashion Week.
