Last week, our Human Resource Management students presented a case study about culture and change to the directors of Babcock International, one of the UK's leading engineering support services companies.

Presenting their initial findings to the company's directors on Wednesday 12 February, students persuaded James Beckwith, the Human Resources Director of Babcock International, to adapt to the challenges that cultural change presents by offering service support in Brazil.

By the end of the week, the company's Finance Director, Dave Lawton, also came along to hear students' presentations and pose questions to the groups.

Both executives were impressed by the students' skills when applying theory to practice, as well as the insights gained from their presentations. They requested copies of the slides produced by the students and they'll receive their individual assignments with further updates about the study soon.

To continue our partnership with Babcock International, James Beckwith will speak at our next Human Resource Management Conference about HR Careers in Transition.

The event will feature speakers such as:

We'll soon publish further details about the conference.
