Women in Recruitment, an interest group within APSCo, has commissioned Westminster Business School to conduct research into workforce gender issues in the professional recruitment sector, and to show how these can be addressed to access new talent and drive competitive advantage.
The ASPCo's concern is that the talent pipeline in many recruitment organisations continues to leak women, often at a time when they can add most value to the business.
We will carry out desk research to identify the barriers to women’s progress. This will be followed by telephone interviews with women from the industry of recruitment professionals. We hope to gain from them a better understanding whether there are industry-specific barriers or if their experiences mirror those of women in many other professional sectors.
