In his new role, Professor Kirkup will provide Westminster Business School with strategic direction and leadership, ensuring that the School’s vision of excellence in learning, research and teaching continues to be achieved and exceeded.
Professor Kirkup joins Westminster Business School from the University of Edinburgh Business School where he was Professorial Director of MBA Programmes and Director of Educational Innovation. Having also previously held a number of senior roles at Cranfield, Birmingham, Loughborough, Lancaster and Exeter Business Schools, Professor Kirkup brings a wide breadth of expertise and innovation to the role.
His experience in planning and directing undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA programmes makes him well placed to guide the development of innovative courses for business-minded students and to support research opportunities and ambitions. Professor Kirkup also has an impressive record of working collaboratively with business to enhance the student experience and this background will be of immense benefit in helping the School realise its mission.
