A Westminster artist has scooped second place in Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance’s Art of Nurture competition, beating over 600 entrants from across the country.

Joey Marsh, 24, from Brighton, and previously a student at the University of Westminster, was announced as the graduate runner-up at the national final held at the Victoria and Albert Museum on 6 April.

Now in its fifth year, and open to graduates for the first time, Art of Nurture is designed to support and encourage UK artistic talent. The competition has been developed in partnership with Arts & Business, a national not-for-profit arts agency.

Joey’s entry, which depicts characters working together to paint a world map, may now be used in a Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance’s advertising campaign. Joey will also have the opportunity to take a paid work placement at a top UK creative agency.
