Jennifer Man Ching Wong (graduate of Westminster’s Master of Architecture (RIBA Part 2) and Katarzyna Nowak (graduate of Westminster’s Architecture BA Honours) received a glowing endorsement from Sir Nicholas Grimshaw.

Jennifer and Katarzyna attended the launch of the NOISE Festival 2014 at the House of Commons on 9 September, and were presented with their Curator Choice certificate. They are also involved in NOISE Festival 2014 showcase events, designed to offer extra exposure for their talents. These events include “The Best New Creatives” – an outdoor exhibition in the heart of London’s Southbank and “The Best New Artists” – a fine art, photography and AV exhibition.
Noise Festival is a biennial celebration of creative talent run by charity, NOISE. NOISE helps emerging creatives start successful careers through a portfolio website to showcase talent, network and collaborate with peers, access mentorship from leading industry professionals, find job opportunities and get involved in the NOISE Festivals.
Sir Nicholas said of Jennifer’s Best in Show image: “Jennifer shows great promise. Her work reminds one of the early conceptual studies of Shigeru Ban. She has explored geometry using origami techniques, which I think could seriously be brought into the building process. She also shows great sensitivity in contrasting her geometry with the growth of an apple orchard and the grafting techniques that have been developed to propagate this.”
Sir Nicholas said of Katarzyna’s Curator’s Choice image: “This is a very creative use for an existing structure. Her thinking allows for different uses to be applied to this fine structure over a period of time.”
