The Croatian Women of Influence Award recognises the leadership, innovation and community impact of women of Croatian ancestry and aims to inspire younger generations. Vlatka Hlupic, Professor of Business and Management at Westminster Business School, was among 20 women of Croatian heritage from all over the world to receive awards in recognition her contribution in the field of business. Other fields recognised includes philanthrophy, science and technology, and arts and culture.
Commenting on the award, Vlatka said:
It is very rewarding to have my work recognised in this way. I feel extremely proud to be part of this prestigious community of highly accomplished women of Croatian origin.
In addition to being voted one of the most influential thinkers in HR by HR Magazine in 2015, some of Vlatka's recent awards and acknowledgements includes winning the Axiom Business Books Award 2015 and the CMI Management Articles of the Year Award 2015 for her book The Management Shift: How to Harness the Power of People and Transform Your Organization for Sustainable Success.
Vlatka will receive her award at a gala event hosted by the Croatian Women’s Network on International Women’s Day, 8 March, in Zagreb.
