Professor Lewis Darnell, Astrobiologist and Professor of Science Communication at the University of Westminster, put together tips on how to survive a zombie attack for a study commissioned by NOW TV and covered by various national media outlets.

The study surveyed 2,000 British people and revealed one in four have a plan to survive a zombie apocalypse and one in six has considered putting together a survival kit. Professor Darnell provided tips on surviving such attack and escape routes from London and Manchester.

Highlighting the need to get away from populated areas for better chances of survival, he added: “Leave your house behind and head for isolation and make your first destination a camping shop for warm clothing, waterproofs and some sturdy hiking boots.”
