On Wednesday 18 January, immigration specialist Adrian Farley, from Farley Associates, will be giving a talk at the University on the Tier 1 (Post-study work) visa and Tier 2 Work Visa.

The talk has been organised by the Student Advice Service and is open to all interested students and staff. It will, however, be especially useful for international students who will be applying for a Tier 1 (Post-study work) visa before April 2012.

The talk is free and no registration is necessary – simply turn up on the day.

The talk will cover:

  • who is eligible for a Tier 1 (Post-study work) visa
  • how to apply for a Tier 1 (Post-study work) visa
  • when to apply for a Tier 1 (Post-study work) visa
  • the existing Tier 2 (General) Visa and who can apply

The Government has announced that the Tier 1 (Post-study work) visa will be withdrawn this April, but has provided only basic details to date, which will be covered in the talk.

More information about the Tier 1 (Post-study work) visa can be found on the UK Border Agency website
