All semester 2 module evaluations will be done using a new paper-based format.

After a successful semester 1 pilot in two departments, the paper-based Student Module Evaluation will be used in all semester 2 modules. This replaces the electronic evaluation used in previous years.

Between 6 – 17 March 2017 (learning weeks 7 and 8 ), your Module Leaders will hand out evaluation forms during your lecture or seminar group. You need to complete one module evaluation for each module you are taking in semester 2. Make sure you enter the module code and your course code in the boxes at the top of each evaluation. If you do not know your course code, ask your Module Leader who will have a list available.

Evaluation categories

You will be asked to evaluate each module according to the following categories:

  • Teaching and academic support
  • Resources and learning environment
  • Assessment
  • Overall satisfaction

Use the paper evaluation form to record your experience of your module. You can add comments in each section but do take care not to identify yourself in any comments that you make. Please be assured that your feedback is anonymous, we do not collect or hold any student information with this evaluation.

Closing the feedback loop

Your Module Leaders will forward completed paper evaluations for scanning and will recieve a collated evaluation report once the papers have been reviewd.

During Learning weeks 11 and 12 you should receive feedback from your Module Leader via the new Blackboard option “Your Voice Matters”.

Your feedback is very important to the University and provides invaluable insight into your experience and expectations, which will help shape future module development.
