The awards were made at a ceremony organised by the School on 20 January. The awards are funded by the Scholarships Office at the University and given out across all five faculties to the top students in each undergraduate course, in recognition of their success in progressing to Levels 5 and 6 at the top of their cohort.
The Scholarships Office puts on this annual programme to reward and encourage excellence and progression within the University. Each recipient receives an Achievement Award certificate and a £1,000 cheque.
Dean and Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Kerstin Mey said:
“As Dean of the Faculty I am naturally delighted and proud to see that so many of our students flourish and become high achievers in their chosen subject of study across the breadth of our courses.”
Senior Scholarship Administrator Mamie Barden said:
“The University highly values educational excellence, and we want to show our students that we appreciate their hard work and dedication to their studies. Students make a university what it is, and we applaud the recipients for setting such high standards of quality amongst their peers.”
The event was followed by a celebratory drinks reception for the award-winners and their family and friends.
