Students taking the first year Sociology module London Explored visited the Museum of London in February.

The students were given a tour of the World City Gallery, which looks at London as a world city - a centre of culture, diversity and protest - from the 1950s to the present day.

The Museum of London tells the story of London and its people, which makes it an ideal site for sociological investigation. Students use this visit to complement the group project activities on the module, which involve choosing an aspect of contemporary London to research.  While London Explored is a core Sociology module, it is popular as an option module and also with Study Abroad students.
