The Westminster Business School is pleased to announce that the Royal Economic Society (RES) PhD Meetings 2016 will take place at the Marylebone Campus on 8–9 January 2016.

The call for papers has now opened and will remain open from 1 September to 1 November. Conference registration will open on 1 October and will remain open until 9 January.

The RES PhD Meeting is one of the most important opportunities in the academic year for employers and graduate job market candidates to come together and discuss employment strategies and opportunities forthcoming in 2016.

In addition to offering standard research presentations and poster presentations to PhD job market candidates, the event will feature keynote contributions from Prof. Daniel Hamermesh on negotiating the job market and from Prof. Frederic Vermeulen (Editor of The Economic Journal) on how to get published. Employers will be provided with private booths or stands where they can conduct job market interviews or advertise their institutions and organisations.

The Westminster Business School is very excited to host the venue for this important event for many young economists. More information on conference registration and how to get to the venue will be published in the coming weeks.

Papers can now be submitted online.

Please note that attendees will be required to hold an RES membership at the time of registration.
